Finally, This Blog is Back to Online!

After going abroad to Oregon, USA to study at Oregon State University last year, its hard to believe that I had left my lovely blog (dear, please forgive me!). After then, I was back to Indonesia to finish my study at University of Brawijaya and finally got a job in my previous university as lecturer. Since that time, so many thing happened.

I’ll for sure write all my journey and experience in this blog, just stay tune my friends. Here is my little things to share with you guys:

1. Next Year, I will become Indonesian delegate in One Young World, London – England 2010
2. This Year, I become indonesian delegate in youth Encounter on Sustainability, Switzerland 2009
3. This Year, I become Indonesian delegate in ASEAN + 3 leadership Executive Programme, Singapore 2009
4. Last Year, I was study in Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon – USA by IELSP Scholarship, USA 2008
5. Now, I am University of Brawijaya Lecturer in Computer Science dept.  and be extraordinary lecturer in Faculty of Social Sciences for International Relationship and Communication Science.
6. And Thanks Godness I’ve got many Awards from Ministry of Higher Education (DIKTI – Mendiknas), Ministry of Youth and Sport (Kemenegpora), Ministry of Communication and Information (Depkominfo) and Ministry of Research and Technology (RISTEK).
7. I also trusted to become Leader in several grass root organization called ISHARP, IYCCAC and National Organization called RITECH (Research Innovation and Technology) branch Malang from Ministry of Research and Technology (RISTEK)
8. Thanks God, I’ve got grant for research from Ministry of Higher Education (DIKTI – Mendiknas) and Ministry of Communication and Information (Depkominfo).
9. And I just began to realize my dream to travel around the world (It is now 3 continents : America, Asia, Europe for more than 33 cities I visited -detailed on my facebook).

FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS

The American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) is pleased to announce the availability of the 2009-2010 Fulbright scholarships to study in the United States. Grants are competitive, comprehensive, and generally cover tuition and fees, textbook allowance, monthly maintenance, international airfare and health insurance. ALL disciplines and fields of study are eligible for a Fulbright award, EXCEPT medical field in patient care or medical training.

The Long Road to Oregon (IELSP cohort 3) part II

Alhamdulillah kemaren dipanggil IIEF (The Indonesia International English Foundation) “http://www.iief.or.id” tentang beasiswa belajar language di amrik IELSP (Indonesia English Language Study Program) “http://iief.or.id/scholarship.php?id_scholarship=28&” untuk mengikuti test wawancara di Job Placement Center UNAIR tanggal 16 Januari 2008 pukul 09.20 WIB.

Waktu itu tanggal 15 Januari 2008 aku langsung persiapan ke surabaya, soalnya wawancara esok harinya. abis beresin urusan untuk jurusan dan fakultas, traktiran ama temen2 di hutan mipa, trus karena kecapekan ampe kos ketiduran deh hehe

Jam 5 sore ngajak temen untuk nganter ke Stasiun Kota Lama, eh nyampe sana maghrib, tapi syukurlah ternyata ada kereta pukul 18.20 WIB tapi kelas ekonomi hiks :p abis beli tiket trus sholat maghrib sekalian isya’ trus kereta dateng deh..

yah waktu itu ada orang timor disampingku, dia cerita pengalaman hidupnya sampai di PHK, dan macem2, sabar yah mas. keep on fight for your destiny. kembali tentang kereta, Ya ampun, kereta ekonomi!! alamak, bau kaki!! sekali aja deh.. ntar pas balik naek yang bisnis ato yang eksekutif

Aku di surabaya nginep di kos temenku, yang pernah aku ceritain dulu, namanya Suyanto, dia mahasiswa UNAIR jurusan farmasi, dia lagi ngambil kuliah profesi sekarang, smangat ya bro!!

Eh, nyampe di Stasiun Gubeng Kertajaya, salah keluar, seharusnya ke kiri aku ke kanan. hiks gak ketemu trus aku telpon, walah, akhirnya balik lagi ke dalam stasiun trus keluar lewat pintu keluar sebelah kanan. Surabaya hujan dan agak banjir, nah ini dia repotnya, motor temenku ini mogok kehabisan bensin, yaudah jalan ampe ke pom bensinkira-kira 1,5 kilometer trus akhirnya bisa, eh gak jauh nyepeda, sepeda mogok lagi digenangan air, wah ternyata gara-gara banjir tadi, air pada masuk ke mesin, hiks3x alamat jalan kaki lagi deh.. udah dari siang blom makan, kehujanan, bawa tas gede, jalan kaki pula!! dasar hari yang menakjubkan :p

Akhirnya tiba di UNAIR, trus di ATM pinjem peralatan pak satpam untuk bersihin busi motor temenku, alhamdulillah akhirnya bisa. hooshhh!!! semangat!! tapikok laper ya. krucuk3x perutku meronta-ronta minta jatah hehe, aku emang dholim yah ama perut sendiri, dah 3 hari makan mesti sekali tiap hari, kalo sampe ketahuan ibu, wah dimarahin pasti, maaf ya bu.. akhirnya Ittadakimasu!! selamat makan.. saat itu hampir jam 12 malam, makan ayam-telor-tempe penyet, bener2 pelampiasan hehe

Abis kenyang kita pulang ke kos deh, pulang.. pulang.. tidur.. bayangan kasur udah memenuhi rongga kepalaku yang udah suntuk. Yaaah, boro2 tidur, Yanto malah hidupin komputer, eh komputernya error, aduh.. alamat ini, aku suruh benerin, yaudah ampe jam setengah dua benerin ampek install ulang segala hiks ngantukk…

Tidur deh.. enyak enyak.. tau-tau udah adzan suhub, kok cepet yah, trus aku ambil air wudhu dan sholat subuh, abis sholat ya melanjutkan aktifitasku, “apa itu?” hehe kamu pasti dah tau, ya TIDUR lagee..

Bangun-bangun eh jam 10.15 pagi!! waduhhhh gawat!! TELATTTT!! aduh gimana ini, temenku blom bangun lagi, yaudah aku mandi trsu telpon mbak panitia, kalo nggak salah namanya mbak Kartika: “Mbak maaf saya ada halangan, jadi kemungkinan besar saya telat!! mohon dijadwal ulang mbak” mbaknya menjawab “iya dah, mm, kamu jam 12 dah nyampe kesini kan? ntar klo gak ada kontestan lain yang wawancara, kamu wawancara ato jam 2 siang”, “alhamdulillah, makasih ya mbak..” ucapku senang. Ya udah mandi lagi deh, tadi blom tenang, abis mandi dan ganti baju, giliran si Yanto bangun, “hoi!! instalin adobe acrobat reader ama corel drawnya” dia memintaku nginstalin software di komputernya. Oke deh..

Jam setengah 12 siang aku ma Yanto ke kampus, di Job Placemen Center Unair jalan Airlangga no 2-4. yah aku ditinggalin sendirian disana. disana aku ketemu cewek unair yang juga kontestan, dia juga menunggu giliran ternyata, ya udah akhirnya kita ngobrol2, belum lama, keluarlah dari ruangan salah satu kontestan, dia abis diwawancarai. Trus selang beberapa lama ada seorang cewek cuantik yang keluar dari ruangan yang dama, eh barusan baru aku tahu, kalo dia ternyata reviewer, hiks kirain..

On January 2008

Waktu itu ada pengumuman IELSP di websitenya IIEF. Dari sana aku dapet informatsi tentang IELSP Batch 3 dibuka dampai dengan tanggal 4 Januari 2008, wah ini dah januari gimana dong!! PANIK!! hehe :p

Dengan semangat 45 ++ akhirnya ku tarik napas panjang dan isi semua form yang menurutku banayak banget ituh dan Alhamdulillah tidak begitu sulit menurutku untukmengisinya, total ada 10 lembar (kalau tidak salah)

• halaman 1 berisi GUIDELINES dan DOCUMENT CHECK LIST yaitu petunjuk cara pengisian dan cara melengkapi dokumen.
• Halaman 2 tentang Personal data, yah bagi yang narsis bisa menaruh poto kesukaan disini, narsis abiess!! ups ketahuan deh.. maaph mba Amma hehe
• Halaman 3 tentang keluarga dan detailnya. Nah disini disediain form untuk model ‘essay’ yang diisi tentang latar belakang keluarga. Aku ceritain keluargaku yang sangat mendukungku dan menyayangiku, Ayahanda, Ibunda dan Adindaku.. Oh.. Begitu Sempurna!! Halah kok malah bikin poems ini gimana, yah intinya tentang keluarga kita seperti apa (‘apah’ kalo versinya si Serli hunny :p).
• Halaman 4 tentang informasi pendidikan, seperti IPK, matakuliah diambil, kegiatan Organisasi, Course dan Training. Wew inih dia yang bikin semangat dan rada ngisi banyak soalnya ada banyak course, extra, organisasi yang aku ikutin (wah bukannya sok sombong loh, mahasiswa gak berkesan kalo gak aktif, ya to! masak jauh-jauh merantau kuliah di malang dari solo, gak tahu apa-apa tentang malang lak yo isin rekk!! hehe itu guyonan anak malang apalagi hobbyku travelling dan petualang.. hehe kayak bolang ajah)
• Halaman 5 tentang kegiatan Organisasi, Beasiswa, Penghargaan dan karya / Publikasi. Alhamdulillah aktif organisasi juga jadi bisa ngisi halaman ini hehe, beasiswa pernah dapet dari PPA dan TPSDP batch 3, trus ada beberapa penghargaan dari beberapa kementerian: depkominfo (3) , dikti (medali emas di pimnas XX lampung), kemenegpora (Young National Science & Technology Award) dan ada dari corporate juga (Indonesia Samporna Best Student 2008) serta Mawapres Unibraw, semua patut di syukuri.. Untuk Publikai ada beberapa karya ilmiah dan research (kebetulan dari tahun 2005 terlibat di eventnya SOI Asia dan beberapa kali join research dengan universitas di jepang dan perusahaan dari jepang)

• Halaman 6 tentang pernah tinggal dimana saja (abroad) trus bahasa ibu, bahasa yang dikuasai beserta sertifikat yang didapat (syarat TOEFL minim 470 waktu itu) dan emergency contact. Bahasa ibu is Javanesse language heheh, halaman ini ringan soalnya blom pernah tinggal di LN, setelah ini baru pernah tinggal di apartemen eh LN
• Halaman 7 tentang personal statement dan essay tentang problem that my counry face on dan my key role to overcome it. mulai buat essay lagi deh.. tapi asyik kok nulis itu, jadi berfikir dan berusaha untuk bisa membantu memecahkan masalah negeri ini (BBM oh BBM, bener bener mahal heheh)
• Halaman 8 essay tentang long term motivation and career. dan juga daftar reference issuer kita. pokoknya motivasi yang bisa menghidupkan semangatku dan goals serta impianku aku tulis disini. semangat!! gambatte kudasai!! cheers up!!
• Halaman 9 untuk persetujuan kita mengenai agreement dan keabsahan tulisan kita. dengan membubuhkan tandatangan dan waktu (waktu itu 1 Januari 2008, hiks mepet daah!!)

LB SCHOLARSHIP

(Beasiswa LB)

2008 Intake (deadline: 27 June 2008)

PT Bank Lippo Tbk (“LB”), a major investee company of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia, believes in developing the human capital in the Republic of Indonesia. In this regard, LB is pleased to offer scholarships and financial assistance to deserving Indonesian students who intend to pursue their tertiary education at selected university in Indonesia. Therefore, LB is inviting applications from high school graduates who would like to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree program majoring in Commerce, Finance, Economic, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Law. The scholarship grant will be based on the merits of the applicant, including academic grades and school extra-curricular activities. However, to provide opportunities to those who would otherwise have difficulties in financing their tertiary education, special consideration will be given to applications from students that come from a financially disadvantaged family.
I.	REQUIREMENTS:
	Applicants to LB Scholarship must meet the following minimum requirements:
	(i)	Must be an Indonesian citizen;
	(ii)	Must complete the application form;
	(iii)	Grade Point Average for the National Examination Result and Average Point for High School Examination Result must be 8.00 or higher;
	(iv)	Must be able to demonstrate that they are from financially disadvantaged family by showing an official letter of poverty from the local authority and home electricity bill;
	(v)	Not presently receiving any other equivalent scholarship or award;
	(vi)	English proficiency;
	(vii)	Must comply with all rules and regulations imposed by LB in relation to the scholarship program;
	(viii)	Accepted applicants must be willing to participate in any LB programs and activities such as internship program at LB or any of its affiliated companies;
	(ix)	Scholarship recipients are prohibited from holding a job throughout the period of study.
	(x)	Must complete all documents as listed in the Further Requirements & Conditions. (CLICK FOR DETAILS)
II.	COVERAGE OF SCHOLARSHIP:
	The scholarship shall cover the following:
	(i)	Registration fees at the university at which the scholarship recipient is enrolled;
	(ii)	Tuition fee for the duration of study, not exceeding 4 (four) years or 8 (eight) academic semesters or less depending on the program selected. LB is not obligated to provide any further funding or other assistance should the scholarship recipient does not finish the course of study within the given time frame;
	(iii)	Living allowance to cover living expenses throughout the period of study;
	(iv)	Book allowance required for study;
	(v)	Internet allowance to access internet for study purpose;
	(vi)	A personal computer;
	(vii)	Research allowance required for final-year research study.
III.	DISBURSEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS:
	Scholarship funds shall be disbursed in the following arrangement:
	(i)	Tuition fee shall be paid directly to the respective university;
	(ii)	Others shall be disbursed directly to the scholarship recipient.
	The disbursement of such scholarship funds shall be subject to the scholarship recipient being able to:
	(i)	maintain a satisfactory academic standing; and
	(ii)	fulfill all of required duties and responsibilities.
IV.	LEAVE FROM SCHOOL
	Save for the school holidays, scholarship recipients shall not take a break from any educational activities without obtaining prior written approval from LB.
V.	PENALTIES
	(i)	In the event that any of scholarship recipients decides to resign from the scholarship program, such scholarship recipient shall reimburse all of the funds spent and return all facilities provided during his/her participation to LB’s scholarship program, including but not limited to the personal computer;
	(ii)	Any violation for duties, responsibilities and any other requirements imposed by LB will be subject to a penalty to be determined by LB and/or termination of scholarship funding.
VI.	DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
	Throughout the period of study, the scholarship recipient must:
	(i)	be willing to comply with all rules and regulations established by LB as well as the university;
	(ii)	be willing to attend and participate in all LB scholarship gathering or activities;
	(iii)	participate in LB’s human capital development programs; and
	(iv)	report on the academic and non-academic progress to LB on a quarterly basis.
	After graduation, the scholarship recipient shall join the LB Alumni Association and actively participate in its program and activities.
VII.	TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
	The scholarship program shall be terminated on the occurrence of one of the following:
	(i)	the scholarship recipient has completed the course of study;
	(ii)	the scholarship recipient withdraws or is not able to continue studying in the respective university;
	(iii)	the scholarship recipient violates or fails to fulfill any of the duties, responsibilities and requirements;
	(iv)	the scholarship recipient is unsuccessful to meet the required level of academic performance;
	(v)	the scholarship recipient is proven to have provided incorrect or misleading information in the application form or its supporting documents; or
	(vi)	the scholarship recipient is involved in any illegal activities.
VIII.	WORK OBLIGATION
	(i)	During the period of study, scholarship recipient must be willing to participate in the internship program at LB.
	(ii)	Upon completion of undergraduate program, scholarship recipients are obliged to work for LB and/or its affiliations for a period of 4 consecutive years subject to job’s availability at LB and/or its affiliations.
